Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited ("BOCHK") offers many different kinds of e-Statements / e-Advices including fund advice /  monthly statement, bonds / certificates of deposit advice / daily statement / monthly statement, equity linked investments / structured notes advice / daily statement / monthly statement, securities and securities margin account advice / daily statement / monthly statement1,2,3 , precious metal / FX margin account advice / daily statement / monthly statement1,2,3, consolidated monthly statement3, credit card monthly statement and non-investment products advice9,. Simply by accessing BOCHK Internet Banking and / or Mobile Banking and completing the registration process2 for e-Statement / e-Advice services, you can enjoy the following benefits. All personal customers who enrolled in consolidated monthly statement services will be able to review electronic consolidated statements free of charge without registration.

Change of setting

You can change the setting of your e-Statement / e-Advice via Internet Banking anytime.

Remarks:

  1. Customers can apply for e-Statement / e-Advice for the precious metals / FX margin account, securities account and/or securities margin account. Customers who have registered for (i) daily e-Statement or (ii) daily and monthly e-Statements for the securities account and/or securities margin account before November 2021, will receive other correspondence relating to our securities service such as advice, etc from Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited ("BOCHK"). To receive e-Statement / e-Advice, customers can change the setting of e-Statement / e-Advice via Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.

  2. The e-Statement / e-Advice Service is only applicable to the customers of BOCHK Internet Banking Service. Customer can enroll in e-Statement / e-Advice service via BOCHK Internet Banking or any of our branches (for registration via branches, the signature on the service application document should be the same as the specimen signature of the relevant account(s)). To register for the e-Statement Service of precious metals / FX margin accounts, securities account and/or securities margin account, and/or the e-Advice Service of the non-investment products, the customers should maintain the aforesaid accounts and have registered such accounts for BOCHK Internet Banking service in advance.

  3. The e-Statement service of precious metals / FX margin account and the securities account and/or securities margin account will become effective immediately after registration. The consolidated monthly e-Statement service will become effective on the next working day after registration. The e-Advice service of non-investment products will become effective on the next working day after registration. Customers can access the consolidated monthly e-Statements of be viewed on those computers installed with Acrobat Reader.

  4. E-Advice, daily e-Statement and monthly e-Statement will be retained for:

  5. Customers can obtain copies of BOC Express Cash Revolving Credit Monthly Statement through BOCHK Internet Banking free of the charge.

  6. Customers can obtain copies of BOC Credit Card Monthly Statement through BOCHK Internet Banking and apply for reprinting a maximum of 6 credit card statements for free from 1st January to 31st December every year. If the number of paper statements requested exceeds the free offer stated, a handling fee of HKD 50 (USD 6 for BOC USD Platinum Card) will be levied for each additional paper statement.   7. Only applicable to customers who have completed the registration process for e-Statement / e-Advice services. After the registration is successful, customers will receive e-Statement / e-Advice but not paper statements/ advices.

  8. Request for reprint of monthly statements is only applicable to the consolidated monthly statements, BOC credit card monthly statements and BOC Express Cash Revolving Credit monthly statements of past 24 months which are retrievable through BOCHK Internet Banking, and the request has to be submitted through BOCHK Internet Banking.

Securities Margin Service

Due to the prices of securities fluctuate sometimes dramatically, you may sustain losses in excess of your cash and any other assets deposited as collateral with us. Market conditions may make it impossible to execute contingent orders, such as "stop-loss" or "stop-limit" orders so as to limit your losses. You may be called upon at short notice to make additional margin or interest payments. If the required margin or interest payments are not made within the prescribed time, your collateral may be liquidated without your consent. Moreover, you will remain liable for any resulting deficit in your account and interest charged on your account. You should therefore carefully consider whether such a financing arrangement is suitable in light of your own financial position and investment objectives. It is likely that losses will be incurred rather than profits made as a result of buying and selling securities.

The risk of loss in leveraged foreign exchange trading and precious metals trading can be substantial. You may sustain losses in excess of your initial cash margin. Placing contingent orders, such as "stop-loss" or "stop-limit" orders, will not necessarily limit losses to the intended amounts. Market conditions may make it impossible to execute such orders. You may be called upon at short notice to deposit additional cash margin. If the required cash margin or interest payments are not provided within the prescribed time, your position may be liquidated. You will remain liable for any resulting deficit in your account and interest charged on your account. A demand for additional cash margin is not a precondition to, and does not in any way limit, our right to liquidate your open positions according to the relevant terms and conditions. You should therefore carefully consider whether such trading is suitable in light of your own risk appetite, financial situation, investment experience, investment objectives and investment horizon.
