February 16, 2007 - Standard & Poor's raised the long-term counterparty
credit rating on Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited to 'A-' from 'BBB+'
and the bank fundamental strength rating to 'B' from 'C+'. At the same time,
Standard & Poor's affirmed 'A-2' short-term counterparty credit rating and
stable outlook on Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited.
Moody's Investors Service
May 30, 2007 - Moody's Investors Service changed the outlook for long-term
bank deposit ratings on Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited to stable from positive.
At the same time, Moody's Investors Service affirmed 'Aa3' long-term and 'P-1'
short-term local and foreign currency bank deposit ratings on Bank of China (Hong Kong)
Limited. The Bank Financial Strength Rating is 'C+'.
Fitch Ratings
June 19, 2006 - Fitch Ratings upgraded the individual rating of
Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited to 'B' from 'B/C'. At the same time,
Fitch Ratings affirmed 'A' long-term and 'F1' short-term foreign currency
issuer default rating, and support rating of '2' on Bank of China
(Hong Kong) Limited. The outlook on the ratings is stable.
