Banking Talent Programme 

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the banking industry jointly launched the Banking Talent Programme (“the Programme”) since 2020 to nurture young talents for the industry, fresh graduates will be offered six-month work opportunities and professional training to better prepare for future careers in the banking sector.

As one of the participating banks in the Programme, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is delighted to offer a wide range of job opportunities to young graduates who aspire to develop career in the banking industry. Apart from a series of induction seminars as well as the professional training courses organised by the HKMA, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Academy of Finance, the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) and reputable industry practitioners, various inhouse and on-the-job training will be provided to equip the young graduates with fundamental knowledges for their future career growth.

1 September 2021 to 28 February 2022

 

Requirements

 

  • Hong Kong residents who are lawfully employable in Hong Kong
  • Fresh graduates with a bachelor's degree in 2021 from local universities or those outside Hong Kong
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is required
  • Self-motivated, passionate, responsible and strong team spirit
  • Fast learner, strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

Job Responsibilities

 
 
 

Personal Banking and Wealth Management

  • Handle customers' enquiries and requests related to banking products or services
  • Conduct research and data analysis on new products and services in the market
  • Participate in electronic channels development, personal banking projects and other related functions
 

Private Banking

  • Handle account opening and client servicing functions for Private Banking business
  • Conduct research and analysis on Private Banking products / services
  • Assist in the internal control functions of Private Banking business
  • Perform other projects or duties relating to Private Banking
 

Financial Markets

  • Assist in the product development of various Financial Markets products, including but not limited to foreign exchange, commodities, bonds and equities
  • Assist in the internal control functions of financial markets or asset management business, including but not limited to market risk, credit risk, operational risk and technology risk management
  • Perform other duties related to financial markets management or asset management
 

Financial Crime Compliance

  • Assist in the investigation of fraud cases
  • Assist in conducting fraud risk assessment on new products and services
  • Perform data analysis and assist in preparing intelligence reports / circulars
  • Assist in reviewing and drafting related policies, annual plans, operating or working procedures / manuals
 

Innovation and Optimization Centre

  • Conduct research on FinTech market trend, digital capabilities and conduct analysis on published data and statistics
  • Assist in managing innovation projects
  • Participate in the promotion of new digital ideas to facilitate stakeholders' knowledge growth and innovation cultivation
