All BOCHK personal customers can enjoy remittance handling fee waiver by conducting remittance to/from their own accounts within Bank of China in the mainland and other countries/regions.

Terms & Conditions: 

1. The above handling fee waiver of remittance services is only applicable to personal customers of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited ("BOCHK")  (“Selected Customers”). 

2. Selected customers who have satisfied all of the below remittance transactions conditions are eligible to enjoy the handling fee waiver:

a.   Outward Remittance:

  • Must be submitted and completed via Internet Banking and/or Mobile Banking of BOCHK, and
  • Can be any of the currencies available for remittance on the Internet Banking and/or Mobile Banking, and
  • Beneficiary’s name must be same as the ordering customer, and
  • Beneficiary’s bank is (a) a branch/sub‐branch of Bank of China Limited (“BOC”) in the mainland, (b) a BOC branch/subsidiary bank in any region/country outside mainland (e.g. Macau, Taiwan, U.S.A.), or (c) a BOCHK branch/subsidiary bank outside Hong Kong (e.g. Thailand, Brunei). (Applicable to Telegraphic Transfer :Must identify beneficiary bank by 11 character SWIFT BIC address starting with BKCH or the CNAPS No. on the application of remittance. Applicable to BOC Remittance Plus: Must select Bank of China as beneficiary bank.)

b.   Inward Remittance:

  • Remitter’s name must be same as the Customer (Beneficiary), and
  • Remitting bank is (a) a BOC branch/sub‐branch in the mainland, (b) a BOC branch/subsidiary bank in any region/country outside the mainland (e.g. Macau, Taiwan, U.S.A.), or (c) a BOCHK branch /subsidiary bank outside Hong Kong (e.g. Thailand, Brunei).

3. The handling fee waiver is applicable to basic handling fee/charge of the above transaction. Any other incurred fees & charges, such as correspondent bank charges, and fees & charges to be collected from other parties are not part of the offer. 

4. The above mentioned products, services and offers are subject to relevant terms and conditions. For details, please refer to relevant promotional materials or contact the branch staff of BOCHK. 

5. BOCHK reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the above products, services and offers, and to amend the relevant terms at any time at its sole discretion. 

6. In case of any dispute, the decision of BOCHK shall be final. 

7. Should there be any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of this promotion material, the Chinese version shall prevail. 

Remittance to Other Banks on Mainland China (including Bank of China) - BoC Pay Cross-border Remittance

RMB Cross border Salary Direct Remittance:

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited (“BOCHK”)’s RMB Cross border Salary Direct Remittance (“Salary Direct Remittance”)  makes it easier for Mainland Chinese who are working in Hong Kong to remit their salary back to the Bank of China Limited (“BOC”) account.

Term and Conditions: 

1. The promotion period of RMB Cross border Salary Direct Remittance (“Salary Direct Remittance”) will be ended until further notice. 

2. Eligible customers may apply for the Salary Direct Remittance service under below service arrangements and conditions: 

  • Personal customer in Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited (“BOCHK”)

  • Apply the Salary Direct Remittance service through the designated branch at BOCHK, or mobile banking or internet bankng.

  • Remittance funds must be in Renminbi, and;

  • Beneficiary's bank is a branch of Bank of China Limited (“BOC”) in the Mainland of China

*Mobile banking or internet bankng is only applicable to eligible customer who taken up BOCHK Payroll Services. 

3. During the Promotion Period, the waiver is only applicable to the basic handling fee/charge of the above transactions.  Any other incurred fees & charges (such as correspondent bank charges) and fees & charges to be collected from other parties are not part of the offer. 

4. For the BOCHK Payroll Service customers, the amount of remittance cannot exceed the earned salary in Hong Kong received through BOCHK payroll service and up to 12 times of the lastest monthly salary in BOCHK’s record .  As for the customers who have not yet taken up BOCHK Payroll Service, BOCHK shall request the customer to provide the income proof and indicated the monthly salary income proof. The maximum remittance amount of each salary direct remittance for both customer who taken up/ not yet take up BOCHK Payroll Services is RMB400,000.  BOCHK shall request the customer to provide extra income proof, and reserves the right to accept the transaction and the decision of BOCHK shall be final.

5. Eligible customers should clearly indicate to the staff of BOCHK that he/she is applying for this services and promotion when submitting the remittance application form.  Customer who conduct the remittance via mobile banking and internet banking should indicate the remittance purpose as “Salary Remit”. Otherwise, the usual handling fees and charges will be applicable to the remittance. 

6. Salary Direct Remittance service can remit to BOC account in Mainland of China under the same name of remitter or immediate family members.  If the remittance to BOC account in Mainland of China not under the same name of remitter,  BOCHK reserves the right to accept or reject the application and it is subject to the decision of BOC in the Mainland of China to accept the transaction.  In principle, those remittance  which not under the same name of remitter, the beneficiary account should be the immediate family members of the remitter (e.g. spouse, children, parents of the remitter) 

7. The above mentioned products, services and offers are subject to relevant terms and conditions. For details, please refer to relevant promotional materials or contact the branch staff of BOCHK. 

8. BOCHK reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the above products, services and offers, and to amend the relevant terms at its sole discretion. 

9. In case of any dispute, the decision of BOCHK shall be final. 

10. Should there be any discrepancy between the Chinese and English version, the Chinese version shall prevail. 

11. The promotional offer are available on a first-come-first served basis while stock lasts.

 

RMB Conversion Limitation Risk

RMB investments are subject to exchange ratefluctuations which may provide both opportunities and risks. The fluctuation in the exchange rate of RMB may result in losses in the event that the customer converts RMB into HKD or other foreign currencies. RMB is currently not fully freely convertible. Individual customers can be offered CNH rate to conduct conversion of RMB through bank accounts and may occasionally not be able to do so fully or immediately, for which it is subject to the RMB position of the banks and their commercial decisions at that moment. Customers should consider and understand the possible impact on their liquidity of RMB funds in advance.
