As part of our continuous efforts to enhance our services, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited will provide a brand new “Dual Currency Settlement with Multi Network” BOC Card service to our valued customers with effect from 18 April 2010 (“Effective Date”). Worldwide Cash Access with Multiple Networks
You can make purchase at merchant outlets that display the “EPS” in Hong Kong and “UnionPay” signs worldwide with the BOC Card. In addition to keep on enjoying cash withdrawal service at ATMs of the Bank and those displaying the “JETCO” logos in Hong Kong with your BOC Card without any service charges, you will be able to use the Card to withdraw cash from ATMs displaying the “UnionPay” and “PLUS” logos worldwide(a). The worldwide networks of both “UnionPay” and “PLUS” covering more than a million ATMs will bring you unprecedented cash access convenience any time, any where.
Dual Currency Settlement Allows Savings on Currency Conversion Costs(b)
You can enjoy savings on currency conversion costs when the BOC Card is linked to both the HKD account and RMB account. Transactions including purchases and cash withdrawals in RMB at the "UnionPay" network will be debited from RMB account whereas those in HKD and other foreign currencies will be debited from HKD account(c). Please visit any of our branches with your HKID Card and address proof of latest 3 months should you require to open an RMB account to enjoy the added convenience.
Extra Convenience from Auto-transfer among Accounts
You can enjoy greater flexibility by activating the BOC Card for the “Auto-transfer Service” among accounts linked to the card. Whenever you spend or withdraw cash with the card at the “UnionPay” network, the transaction amount will be directly debited from other account linked to the card, provided that the outstanding balance of the transaction account is not sufficient. Should you need to activate the service, please visit any of our branches after the effective date.

Customers holding BOC Card (HKD) that displays the “UnionPay” logo will automatically enjoy the multiple network and dual currency settlement services starting from the effective date, while those holding BOC Card with the “PLUS” logo will have their cards replaced by phases free of charge.
