Management Trainee Programme
Established in 2006, our Management Trainee ("MT") Programme aims to nurture high-calibre talents to become future leaders who are ready to take up challenges and excel in our businesses. Positioned as the cradle of leaders, we are determined to invest considerable amount of resources into our MTs, through the provision of multi-facets of developmental opportunities to facilitate their ever-learning total experiences and pave the promising career path. MTs who joined us in early years have evolved as business leaders and subject matter experts running their teams.
Programme Structure
Our 24-month MT Programme offers an accelerated learning path customized across our different business segments. Through a mix of classroom training, on-the-job training, and strategic rotations, you will build foundational banking expertise. You will also participate in high-impact, cross-border projects that broaden your regional perspective and professional network. Throughout this journey, dedicated mentors, buddies, and coaches will support your skill development and professional growth.
Training and Development
Orientation
The programme commences with a one-week orientation combining classroom training and experiential learning. Designed to fast-track your integration, you will interface directly with business heads through structured social learning. The orientation delivers essential insights into the Bank’s corporate structure and values, alongside a strategic overview of our business and products.
Job Rotation
Our structured job rotation is designed to cultivate a robust understanding of our different banking divisions. We value your input to customize a rotation plan that accelerates your development. Mastering the Bank’s end-to-end service chain equips you with the strategic insights necessary for long-term success.
Cross-border Exposure
Gain invaluable regional mobility through strategic assignments across the Chinese mainland and / or Southeast Asia. Immersing yourself in these dynamic financial markets will deepen your market intelligence and expand your professional network.
Mentoring
An experienced business executive will be assigned as your mentor to provide guidance on your career development and to facilitate your understanding of the Bank's business strategy while helping you strengthen your business insights and confidence. During your job rotations, experienced leaders will also provide technical knowledge sharing and constructive feedback to support your growth.
Experienced HR managers will provide dedicated career coaching to ensure you receive a holistic and well-rounded developmental experience.
Furthermore, your mentors and HR managers will conduct regular evaluation sessions to assess your performance, track milestones, and ensure continuous improvement.
Professional Qualifications
To elevate your industry expertise, you will be encouraged to attain the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers related professional qualifications.

Requirements
- Full-time Bachelor's degree with at least second upper honours or GPA 3.3 or above (4-point scale), or full-time Master's degree or above academic qualification and
- Fresh graduates who graduate (or will graduate) between 1 January 2026 and 31 July 2027 without any full-time work experience after graduation
- Self-motivated, passionate and strong team spirit
- Open-minded, willing to embrace changes and accept challenges
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese proficiency

No, you don't. All applicants are being evaluated and assessed according to their potential and performance in the assessments and interviews.

We are looking for candidate who has excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese or Putonghua).
- What should I do if I can't provide official academic certification when I receive an offer?
All successful applicants are required to submit their official copies of academic documents showing a valid graduation status with academic result before onboarding.
