Whether you and your family are going to travel on holiday, business or short-term study trip within Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area2, we provide all-rounded travel protection to you to ensure a truly worry-free journey.

Product features

The Plan provides two plan options with different levels of coverage, Elite Plan (with insured duration of 1-31 days) and Standard Plan (with insured duration of 1-5 days). Major product features are as follow.

  • Up to HK$500,000 personal accident and HK$300,000 medical coverage3

  • Up to HK$500,000 personal liability protection3

  • “Travel delay - cash allowance” for every three-hour delay of “High-speed rail”

  • Exclusive "Pet Care Service" protection4

  • Multiple personal property protection

Application Limitation

  1. Proposed Insured must be aged 18 or above. For mobile application, proposer must hold a valid Hong Kong identity card.
  2. Insured Person(s) must be aged between 6 weeks and 80 years.
  3. Journey must be departed from Hong Kong.
  4. The destination of journey must be within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (not including Hong Kong)2.

If you are going to travel in Greater Bay Area, BOCG Insurance has another travel insurance product - "Universal Smart Travel Insurance Plan" for your selection but the premium and coverage would be different. Terms apply. Click here for details

Notes： 

  1. BOCG Insurance reserves the right to amend the terms and/or adjust the premium and maximum limit under the Plan.
  2. Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area refers to Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Zhaoqing, Huizhou and Jiangmen. However the destination of journey of this policy does not include Hong Kong.
  3. The insured coverage is only applicable to Elite Plan.
  4. This insured item is only applicable to Elite Plan.

Important Notes:

  • The Plan is underwritten by BOCG Insurance.

  • Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited (“BOCHK”) is the appointed insurance agent of BOCG Insurance for distribution of the Plan. The Plan is a product of BOCG Insurance but not BOCHK.

  • In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between BOCHK and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, BOCHK is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however any dispute over the contractual terms of the Plan should be resolved between directly BOCG Insurance and the customer.

  • BOCG Insurance is authorised and regulated by Insurance Authority to carry on general insurance business in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.

  • BOCG Insurance reserves the sole right to determine whether any application for the Plan is acceptable or not in accordance with the information submitted at the time of application by the Insured and/or Insured Person.

  • BOCG Insurance and/or BOCHK reserve the right to amend, suspend or terminate the Plan, services and to amend the relevant terms at any time at its sole discretion without prior notice. In case of any dispute, the decision of BOCG Insurance and/or BOCHK shall be final.

  • This promotional material is for reference only and is intended to be distributed in Hong Kong only. It shall not be construed as an offer to sell or solicitation of an offer or recommendation to purchase or sale or provision of any products of BOCG Insurance outside Hong Kong. The Insurance Authority (“IA”) will collect premium levy from the policyholder at the applicable rate. In order to avoid any legal consequences, the policyholder must pay to the insurance company a prescribed levy for the premium for direct remittance to the IA.
