Attestation Service for Account Opening
You can open accounts with us for Wealth Management Service, Enrich Banking Service without the need to visit our branches in Hong Kong in person. You can simply complete the account opening forms for BOCHK accounts at designated attesting network in the mainland / Macao / outside Hong Kong*. You can also make applications for our internet banking and phone banking service in a similar way. Managing your finances can never be more simple and convenient.

Documents Required for Account Opening
Anyone over the age of 18 who are accountholders of the "Wealth Management Service" / selected customers of Bank of China or Bank of China (Hong Kong) subsidiaries# can visit any of the designated attesting network in the mainland / Macao / outside Hong Kong in person and submit the following valid documents to complete the account opening procedures. Application by authorised person(s) is, however, not permitted. The account opening procedure can be completed the soonest in about two weeks subject to submission of all required valid documents.

* Travel document for entry is also required if application is made in person at BOCHK branches.
- Letters or statements issued by government authorities or public utilities companies in the last 3 months stating the customer's name and address.
Remarks
- In addition, it is necessary to meet the eligibility of the attestation bank and provide additional documents to the attestation bank as required.
- To make cross-border remittances, generally customers are required to provide supporting documents with English names.
Channels for Account Opening
You can open an account with us through any of the following ways:
- Visit any of BOCHK branches; or
- Open an account through BOCHK Internet Banking(applicable to existing deposits customers only); or
- Visit designated Bank of China Greater Bay Area attesting network in person to complete the attestation and submit Dedicated Southbound WMC Investment Account and/or BOCHK general savings account opening application through mobile banking (please click here for details); or
- Sign the account-opening documents of BOCHK through our designated attesting network at your region
