Opening “i-Free Banking” via Mobile Banking (Ages 11-17)

  1. Child’s Hong Kong Permanent Resident Identity Card, and
  2. Parent/ guardians’2 Hong Kong Resident Identity Card or People’s Republic of China Resident Identity Card, and
  3. Proof of relationship documents, such as Hong Kong Birth Certificate or a student handbook containing parents’ / guardians’ information and stamped by the school

 

Opening “i-Free Banking”  at Branch (Ages 11-17)

  1. Child’s Identification documents (e.g., Hong Kong Identity Card), and
  2. Copy of parents’ / guardians’ Identification documents, and
  3. Proof of relationship documents, such as Hong Kong Birth Certificate or a student handbook containing parents’ / guardians’ information and stamped by the school

 

Remarks:

  1. i-Free Banking customers aged under 18 are eligible for waiver of "Total Relationship Balance" requirement. When customers reach the age of 18, it is necessary to maintain a "Total Relationship Balance" of HK$10,000 or above in order to continue to enjoy full range of i-Free Banking services.   2. Parents or guardians must be customers of Bank of China (Hong Kong), holding at least one BOCHK account (applicable for mobile account opening for children).
