Use UnionPay QR Code to pay public transport fares to get up to HK$4 off daily in HK

 

Cardholders of BOC Card (Union Pay) can bind UnionPay App. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 13 February and 19 July 2026, pay the fares of MTR, KMB, LWB, Citybus, Cityflyer, NLB, GMB, HK Tramways, HKKF, Sun Ferry and Star Ferry, customers using UnionPay QR Code supporting Hong Kong transit with a single transaction of HK$3 or above to enjoy HK$2 instant discount.

Important Notes:

The Offer applies only to transactions processed through the UnionPay network, and is not applicable to transactions made via UnionPay online banking or third-party payment platforms.

The Offer is only limited to specified lines of MTR, NLB, and GMB, as well as specified ferry lines of HKKF and Sun Ferry.

The Offer cannot be used in conjunction with the sectional fare offers provided by designated public transportation companies.

The Offer is allocated according to the deduction amount and timing initiated by the third-party transportation company.

Each cardholder can enjoy the Offer up to twice per day and a maximum of 60 times throughout the promotion period. Quotas are shared by all participating transportation.

Quotas apply on a first-come, first-served basis. The promotion may end early subject to the availability of the quota.

Tips for enjoying the travel discounts - 1. Enable the overseas transaction permission in advance; 2. Pay close attention to the account limit; 3. Get your transaction password ready.
