BoC Pay allows you to make payments by scanning FPS, UnionPay (including regions outside Hong Kong) or other designated QR codes (for details, please refer to "Merchant List") presented by the merchants or third parties under FPS, UnionPay QR code or designated merchant QR code networks.No. Currently, BoC Pay only accepts personal BOC Dual Currency Card.
To scan a QR code and make payments, the steps are as follows:
- Select the "Scan" tab at the bottom (or enter via "Scan to Pay" in the Menu).
- Scan the QR code presented by the merchant.
- Upon successful scanning, BoC Pay may display the merchant's name and transaction amount automatically. If the QR code does not include any transaction amount, we will prompt you to enter it.
- After confirming the transaction details, enter payment passcode or use biometric authentication.
- Transaction completed.
